Sneakers in the Water

by Nita Farris

A story with so many twists and turns and an ending that was not expected. It was a confusing start because the story is being told in the past and present through different perspectives. It took me a bit to understand the jumps because not all of them were chronological, but added layers to the story.

It is part paranormal, part mystery/thriller, and part romance, which made it an interesting read. Claire has graduated college and is back in her hometown hoping for a "norma;" life. Her mother and sisters all have "gifts" they use to help people around them. She does not believe in the gifts and chooses to stay away.

With her mother's untimely death and her older sister in a coma, she takes on the responsibility of her younger sister. The mystery surrounding the accident adds suspense. Who can she trust? How can she help? Will her "gift" be revealed?

So many questions swirl and you are kept in suspense the entire time. But trust me, you will not be fatigued with it. The smaller storylines provide relief throughout.

This was a 🌟🌟🌟🌟star read!
