Sweet Redemption
by Olivia Peters
A sexy, steamy novel with a great storyline.
Brooklyn a young socialite with new money is struggling with her place in this new society. She has the perfect apartment, job, and boyfriend, but does she really want these things in her life. At the beginning of the story I thought it was going to be a story of “poor little rich girl”, but as it progressed I began to understand her hesitation of on being part of this world. Being “arm candy” or the “perfect spouse” without love and respect was not what she wanted marriage to be. She wanted things that made her feel alive, like ballet, which she gave up at the demand of her father to work in the family business.
Trevor's motivation for the revenge scheme was questionable at first. He was a hot head whose family was destroyed by Brooklyn's dad. The specifics wasn't explained right away, so there was a possibility he may have misguided blame.
The fireworks between Brooklyn and Trevor are instant and the heat between them is hard to ignore. As their relationship builds, you are in a state of suspense on how it will work. Will Trevor tell Brooklyn who he is? Will Brooklyn forgive Trevor? Can Brooklyn leave the life of a socialite? Will she miss the money?
It is a steamy story, but there is never a gratuitous sex scene just to add one in. Each scene fit perfectly with the story. I really had a hard time putting this one down.
A 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2 star read!
